The Everest Base Camp trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal. The trek is more frequently visited than other popular treks, such as the Annapurna Base Camp Trek or the Langtang Valley Trek, which are also well-known among trekkers worldwide. The trek is on the bucket list for many trekkers to reach the base of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest. Everest Base Camp trek begins with a Kathmandu to Lukla flight & provides a challenging Himalayan & Sherpa village experience costing you $955. The paths twist and turn through beautiful Sherpa villages, high rhododendron forests, and alongside the Dudh Koshi River, offering glimpses of the local culture and the strong presence of the local people.
As the altitude gradually increases from Lukla, you will pass through Namche, Tengboche, and Dingboche. During this trek, trekkers need to acclimatize to the conditions of the Khumbu region. Manaslu Circuit Trek
5,106m
The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a two-week-long adventure in Nepal’s Himalayas that goes around the eighth-highest mountain peak in the world, Mount Manaslu. Opened to trekkers in 1992, the route is less crowded than the other well-known Everest and Annapurna treks. Still, the Manaslu trek is gaining popularity yearly for its raw beauty, peaceful trails, and personal experience with the Himalayas.
The journey to the Manaslu Circuit is a moderate-to-strenuous trek that starts with a drive to Machhakhola and ends in Besisahar, taking in the exciting Larkya La Pass (5,106 m). Although the trek doesn’t involve any technical climbing skills, it does require a good fitness level, and having previous trekking experience is helpful. This is because the trek takes you through varied terrain, long trekking days, challenging passes, and continuous elevation gain.
The trek to the Manaslu Circuit is stunning because it takes place within Manaslu Conservation Area, a protected mountain region with 11 distinct forest types ranging from lowland sal and pine forests to high alpine meadows and glaciers. Likewise, the protected area is home to 33 species of mammals and shelters over 110 bird species and 2000 species of flowering plants. Besides, it’s home to about 9,000 residents, primarily of Gurung, Tamang, Tsumba, and Nubri-Tibetan ethnic groups. Thus, the trek lets you experience Buddhist culture and its traditions throughout the adventure.
One unique aspect of the Manaslu region is that it borders Tibet. Therefore, trekking in this region requires a restricted area permit, along with the MCAP (Manaslu Conservation Area Permit), ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Permit), and Chumnubri Rural Municipality Entry Permit. Also, trekking in the region requires you to be accompanied by a licensed guide through a registered trekking agency.
The best trekking time for the Manaslu Circuit is March-May (spring) and September-November (autumn), when skies are clear, and Larkya La is most reliably open and safe to cross. The major highlights of the trek involve walking along the Budhi Gandaki River gorge while enjoying views of Mount Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Himlung Himal, and Annapurna II.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek
4,130m
Annapurna I (8,091 meters) is the first ascended mountain in Nepal, and it is also the tenth highest mountain in the world. Annapurna Base Camp Trek is the journey that takes you to the foot of this very mountain. It lies in the Annapurna Region and is one of the most popular trekking destinations in the world. Since the Everest Base Camp Trek is difficult, many people opt for the ABC trek. What makes this trek unique is that you will experience the natural amphitheater located in the mountains.
Starting from Nayapul, the trek goes through multiple Gurung and Magar villages, adding a cultural angle to the trek. You will closely observe the local culture as you experience their hospitality. Besides, since this trek lies inside the Annapurna Conservation Area, you will get to witness a variety of birds and rhododendrons. It is a moderate trek, but it can also become challenging if you are not properly prepared. That said, it is one such trek that seamlessly blends culture, nature, and adventure, a feat that few treks can offer.

Langtang Gosaikunda Trek
4,610M
Langtang and Gosaikunda (also written as Gosainkunda) are two of the nearest places from Kathmandu for trekking. These two places are located within Langtang National Park, part of the Langtang region. Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is known for its Himalayan adventure despite being closest to the capital city of Nepal. Langtang Gosainkunda Trek covers a distance of 150 km, with 6 to 8 hrs walk each day, and offers a 14-day moderate to challenging trek itinerary. This trek takes you into Nepal’s less crowded mountain region. The journey begins from the village of Syabrubesi and takes you through the Tamang villages and lush forests.
The first half of the trek takes you to the “Valley of Glaciers,” Langtang Valley. Nepal’s one of the longest glaciers, Langtang Glacier, lies in this valley along with multiple other glaciers. During this trek, you will reach Kyanjin Ri (4,773 meters) or Tsergo Ri (5,033 meters). The second half of the trek covers the regions of Gosaikunda Lake. It takes you to the sacred lakes of Gosaikunda, which are popular among both Hindus and Buddhists. Leaving behind Langtang National Park, you will enter the Shivapuri National Park before the trek finishes.
Overall, you will experience the Himalayan trekking experience without going to the Everest or Annapurna Region. But you have to be fully prepared for the trek. You must know about the itinerary, permits, costs, food, accommodations, weather, and other factors. These are important to ensure safe trekking. This article is a comprehensive guide on the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek. Read along to add depth to your preparation.

Everest Three Passes Trek – 18 Days
Kala Patthar (5,550 meters)
The Everest Three Passes trek is an incredible expedition in the Himalayas that combines the famous Everest Base Camp Trek with remote areas of the Khumbu region. The trek goes over three high passes: Kongma La Pass (5,535m / 18,159ft), Cho La Pass (5,420m / 17,782ft), and Renjo La Pass (5,360m / 17,585ft). The trek travels to popular tourist destinations, including Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, Gokyo Ri, and the breathtaking Gokyo Lakes.
Additionally, you explore some of the untouched places in the Nangpa La Valley, the friendly Sherpa village of Marlung, and the serene monastery village of Thame. If you want an adventure and challenging trek in the Everest region, the Everest Three Passes trek is ideal. If you still love the Gokyo Lakes, Kala Patthar, and Everest Base Camp but want an easier trek, consider our 18-day Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Lakes.

Annapurna Circuit Trek
5,416M
The Annapurna Circuit has become one of the most popular treks in Nepal since its inception in 1977 A.D. As the name suggests, this trek is located in the Annapurna Region, inside the Annapurna Conservation Area. The trail circles the Annapurna massif, meaning you can witness the views of the Annapurna mountains from multiple angles. The trek begins in the lush valley and leads to the arid landscape of Manang, culminating in the ascent to Thorong La Pass (5,416 meters), the highest point of the trek. Along the route, you will encounter traditional villages inhabited by the Gurung, Lama, Thakali, and Magar communities.
It used to take more than 20 days to complete the entire trek. However, the development of the road in the lower section has reduced the trek to 15 days or more. Despite the changes, the core of the treks, which are Manang, Muktinath, and Throng La Pass, are not affected, and you can still get the ultimate Himalayan trekking experience from this trek. After reaching Thorong Pass, you will descend to the Muktinath Temple, a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists. Besides, there are other popular side treks like Tilicho Lake Trek, which you can combine with Annapurna Circuit Trek to make it more challenging and rewarding.

Island Peak Climbing – 13 Days
6,189m
One of the best peak climbing journeys in the Everest Region is the Island Peak Climbing in 12 days you can finish the trek. This peak is in the Khumbu region of Nepal. This region is very famous for its trekking and climbing peaks. During this trek, you can experience different types of cultures and traditions of the region.
Nepal boasts eight of the world’s fourteen tallest peaks, making for an abundance of breathtaking alpine vistas. Along the way to Island Peak base camp, you will encounter hospitable Sherpas, stroll through charming towns, and take in a variety of customs and cultures. Other treasures found in the Sagarmatha National Park are its flora and animals.
The first leg of your Island Peak adventure is an early coach journey to Ramechhap, where you will board an “exciting” flight to Lukla (2,840m). The route then continues north along the Dudh Kosi to Namche Bazaar, the capital of the Sherpa people (3,440m).
Many suspension bridges—some more interesting than others—will be crossed throughout the route. We’ll stay in Namche for two nights to help with altitude acclimatization. Your next acclimatization stop, Dingboche, is a day’s drive from Namche. You will stop at the biggest and most magnificent Buddhist monastery in the area, Tengboche Monastery, along the route.
The route from Dingboche to Everest Base Camp passes via memorials for climbers lost on Everest and nearby peaks before circling over Pheriche to Dughla and then ascending to Lobuche (4,910m). After a quick day, you reach Gorakshep (5,140m), from whence you can ascend Kala Patthar (5,550m), the Everest viewpoint, and visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m). You can visit Himalaya Guide Nepal Pvt. Ltd. to gain more knowledge about the formidable peak and its ascent techniques.
Weather at Island Peak ClimbingIsland Peak is located in the Nepali Himalayan Solu-Khumbu region, which is renowned for its unpredictable weather. The conditions for an Island Peak ascent are subject to change according to the season. The pre-monsoon season, which runs from March to May, has mild temperatures but can still be unpredictable due to high winds and snowfall. September through November, the post-monsoon season, brings lower temperatures and a greater chance of snowfall.
Island Peak Base Camp often experiences daytime highs of around freezing to ten degrees Celsius and nighttime lows of below freezing. The temperature will be substantially lower on the mountain, and the wind chill will make it feel even colder. It’s critical to be appropriately attired, equipped, and ready for any changes in the weather.

This 12-day tour in Nepal is a slow-paced, scenic ride through the country’s most iconic and underrated gems. It starts in the capital, Kathmandu, and gently flows through cultural towns, quiet hill stations, and the lakeside city of Pokhara. So, you’ll get a real feel of Nepal, its history, people, and landscapes, without being rushed. From mountain sunrises to jungle adventures and peaceful lake views, this trip is more about soaking it all in than ticking boxes. Every stop gives you time to breathe, not just snap a photo.
You’ll explore ancient cities filled with art and temples, drive through winding countryside roads, wake up to mountain views, and spend time in the wild southern jungles. Our trip has a good mix of culture, nature, and soft adventure, nothing too intense or out of place. Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek
Annapurna Base Camp (4,130M)
The Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek offers a streamlined 8-day version of the classic ABC journey, designed for trekkers who want to visit Annapurna Sanctuary without a long-term commitment. The faster pace is manageable for experienced hikers, but beginners should be ready for a physically demanding adventure. Even with fewer days, the trek still delivers the full Himalayan atmosphere, rugged trails, dramatic scenery, and an authentic mountain feel.
The main difference in this shorter itinerary is that it skips the Ghorepani-Poon Hill section. Aside from that, nothing essential is left out. You still get sweeping views of Annapurna I, II, and III, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and the surrounding peaks. Condensing the journey only makes it more adventurous and rewarding. So, if you want to complete the Annapurna Base Camp Trek in less time without sacrificing the core experience, this is an ideal option.

Paldor Peak Climbing
5896m
Paldor Peak Climbing is a classic climbing peak in the Langtang region and the Ganesh Himal range in Nepal. The Peak is one of the lesser-climbed peaks and is perfect for adventurous trekkers with some basic mountaineering training. Paldor Peak stands tall at an elevation of 5,896 m in the rural Himalayas. The Peak lies southeast of Ganesh Himal at the junction of Tiru and Karpu Danda ridge above the Tiru River Valley.
In 1949, a legendary team of H.W. Tilman, Peter Lloyd, Tenzing Sherpa, and Da Namgyal first summited Paldor Peak via the Northeast Ridge. Classified as a Group B trekking peak by the Nepal Mountaineering Association, the Peak climbing to Paldor is moderate to difficult and requires the use of technical gear like crampons and ice axes.
The route to Paldor Peak passes through Langtang National Park, filled with rhododendron, fir, and oak forests in lower elevations and alpine areas in higher elevations. Similarly, you’ll pass through Tamang and Gurung villages via monasteries, Chorten, and prayer flags that showcase Tibetan Buddhism throughout the journey. Once you get to the Peak’s summit, the views of Mt. Ganesh Himal (7,422 m), Langtang Lirung (7,234 m), Jugal range, and Shishapangma (8,027 m) will appeal to your eyes.
The journey starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi and takes about 14 days in a round trip. Each stop here is an adventure, enclosing many stories for you to uncover. Additionally, with a team of Himalaya Guides, you will know the definition of a true climbing experience as more than just an expedition. We are a local team of this region, so we are delighted to welcome you all and promise to provide a memory for a lifetime.

Manaslu Photo Tour Exceeded my Expectation With Beautiful Location Details
I went on the Manaslu Photo Tour in 2022, and it was an unforgettable experience. Every day was a new adventure, with incredible photo opportunities, from monasteries to locals living in remote mountain towns.
Our guide, Dinesh, and the Himalaya Guide Nepal team made everything smooth, from permits to equipment, and the local meals were great. If you’re looking for an adventure with amazing photography chances and a taste of Nepalese culture, this tour is definitely worth it.
